Pia Holt-Owen’s passion lies in the uniqueness of spaces and the stories they tell through design. She is captivated by the contrasts of materials and textures, especially the timeless beauty of mid-century modern aesthetics. Together, Darren and Pia founded VELLORE as a space where lighting isn’t just a product but a form of expression that elevates and transforms the environments it graces.
Darren Newnes, at the age of 19, discovered his love for lighting while working as a Lighting Technician on an Australian movie set. This early experience ignited his fascination with how light shapes mood, enhances environments, and evokes emotion. With over 25 years of experience, Darren has honed a deep understanding of light’s power to transform spaces.
